CatenaUnique Combination of yarns in a progression of colors |
Patterns featuring this yarn

Definition: A chain of connected objects so arranged that each member is closely related to the preceding and following objects. CATENA is made up of multiple color co-ordinated DK weight yarns that have been tied end to end by hand so the colors and textures unfold and constantly change as you work through the skein. The yarns are arranged such that they form a harmonious progression of color that is pleasing to the eyes. No two skeins are exactly alike. CATENA contains mostly rayon, cotton, and nylon, with a sprinkling of polyester, wool and/or metallic lurex in some skeins. Working with CATENA is exciting as you anticipate the next yarn and color change. A wide range of needle sizes may be used, using larger needles for a more open fabric. We have been successful using needles up to US Size 10 1/2. Depending on the design, one skein is typically sufficient for a medium length scarf. Use 2 skeins for longer, wider scarves or a short wrap.
