Circumference: 14"(16", 18")

Materials
1 x 50 g ball Cuddle Me; Color: White (or color of your choice)
1 x 50 g skein Lantern; Color: SP1 - Jasmine (or color of your choice)
Size 10 1/2 knitting needles
Tapestry needle

Gauge
12 st = 4 inches in stockinette st

Yarns used in this pattern have been discontinued. May be substituted with yarn of similar gauge.

To knit hat:
Cast on 44(50,56) stitches with both yarns held together.
Work in stockinette st (making sure to knit the first and last stitch of every row) until piece measures 4.5""(5", 5.5") from beginning (ending with a purl side).

Begin decrease:
R1: K1, *(K4, k2tog), repeat * till last stitch, K1
R2: K1, purl till last stitch, K1
R3: K1, *(K3, k2 tog), repeat * till last stitch, K1
R4: Repeat R2
R5: K1, *(K2, k2 together), repeat * till last stitch, K1
R6: Repeat R2
R7: Cut yarn about 12-14" long measured from knitting needles. Using tapestry needle, thread yarn through remaining stitches on knitting needles and completely remove them from needles. Pull tight.

Turn hat to purl side. Align seams and make sure the beginning edge forms a smooth line. Sew seams together. Attach pom pom at the top of hat if preferred.
Hat may be worn with brim rolled up or otherwise.
