Gauge
Approx 18 st = 7"

Pattern Stitch
R1-8: Knit
R9-10: *(K1, P1), rep * till end
R11-12: *(P1, K1), rep * till end
Repeat R9-12 three more times.

To knit scarf:
With A & B held together, cast on 18 stitches.
Work in Pattern Stitch a total of 4 times.
End with R1-8

Bind off all stitches.
