Gauge
8.5 st = 4" in Garter Stitch

To knit scarf:
Cast on 40 stitches
R1-16: Knit
R17: K1, *(YO, K1), rep till end.
R18: K, dropping all YOs.

Repeat R17-18 - 30 more times
Then repeat R1-16.

Bind off all stitches.
