Free Knitting Pattern: Bristol Tubular Ribbed Socks

Easy to make ribbed socks for wear on a long flight or just lounging around at home. Instructions are for women's socks, with size for men in parenthesis.

Bristol Tubular Ribbed Socks

Knitted Measurements
Approx 16" long

Materials
2 balls Soloso #102 (or color of your choice)
US Size 7 double-pointed knitting needles

Gauge
Approx 17 st = 3" in 1 x 1 ribbing

To knit socks (make 2):
Cast on 40 (46) stitches. Divide evenly onto 3 needles. Join without twisting. Mark beginning of round.

1 x 1 Ribbing:
Rd1: *(K1, P1), rep * around. Continue ribbing till tube measures 14 1/2" from the cast-on edge, decreasing 1 st on last row.

Decrease:
Divide 39 (45) st evenly onto 3 needles; There should be 13 (15) sts on each needle.

Rd 1: On each needle, (K2tog, K to last 2 sts, SSK); You should have decreased 6 sts.
Rd 2: Knit even.

Repeat Rd 1 and 2 until 1 st remains on each needle. Knit 3 sts together and bind off.

Weave in all yarn ends.
