If you have ever witnessed the metamorphosis process where a caterpillar turns into a pupa and transforms into a butterfly, you will know that it is one of the wonders of nature and truly a sight to behold.

When we first saw and touched West Track, we were amazed by the ethereal feel and colors of this yarn. Then when we started to knit and crochet with it, we were completely intrigued by its uniqueness and transformation. West Track starts out as a ladder ribbon wound in a ball with square panels of colored fabric suspended between 2 strands of yarn. Once you start to knit or crochet with it, it undergoes an irreversible transformation from square panels into little dainty butterfly-like tufts (like caterpillar pupae undergoing metamorphosis, tranforming into little butterflies)! It is extremely addictive watching this yarn transform right before our eyes, and the resulting fabric is absolutely stunning, light as air, has the most wonderful drape and colors so graceful and enchanting.

West Track is very soft, extremely lightweight, has incredible drape and is suitable for scarves, shawls, tops, necklaces and jewellery.
