A beautiful prayer shawl/comfort shawl to bring comfort to someone grieving the loss of a loved one or who may be experiencing tough times.

 

This prayer shawl is easy to make and takes the average knitter about 5 hours to complete.

 

Knitted Measurements:
Sample shawl above measures approx 65" across the top and 36" deep. You may choose to make the shawl between 60"-65" across the top.

 

Materials:
5 x Malibu #90
4 x Kimono (discontinued) #773
US Size 17 knitting needles

 

Gauge: Not important

 

Note: Kimono has been discontinued but may be substituted with Tilly

 

To knit shawl:
With both yarns held together, cast on 3 stitches
R1: Knit
R2: Knit in front and back of first stitch, knit till end.

Repeat R2 until top length measures approx. 65".
Bind off all stitches loosely.
