Slip rem 7 sts of heel flap onto beg of Needle 1. You should now have 20 sts on Needle 1, 24 sts on Needle 2, and 20 sts on Needle 3 - total 64 sts.

You would now need to decrease on each side of the heel flap to get back to the same number of stitches you began with (i.e 48 sts).

Foot:
Work even (continuing to knit in stockinette st on Needle 1 & 3, and 2 x 2 ribbing on Needle 2) until foot measures approx 2" shorter than desired length of sock.

Shape Toe:
R1: On Needle 1, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1; on Needle 2, K1, SSK, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1; on Needle 3, K1, SSK, knit rem. sts.
R2: Knit.
R3-12: Rep R1 & 2. At the end of R12, you should have 24 sts left.
R13-14: Rep R1 - 16 sts left.

Finishing:
Knit sts from Needle 1 onto Needle 3. Cut yarn, leaving a 16" tail for grafting the toe. Thread a needle with this yarn tail and with the wrong sides facing each other, graft these rem sts together using Kitchener Stitch. Turn the sock inside out and weave the end of the yarn into the back of the stitches.

Weave in all yarn ends, making sure not to leave any knots.

Congratulations.....! You have now completed your pair of beautiful, toasty socks!
