Knitting pattern for stylish earflap hat and scarf

Knitting pattern instructions for a striped hat with earflaps and braids, and matching scarf. Hat is sized for child (head size 16-18") and adult size (20-22"). Uses 6 balls of Spray*worsted weight yarn.

*Spray yarn has been discontinued but you may use any yarn with similar gauge:
8 st = 4” in Garter St using US Size 13 needles for hat;
22 st = 7” in Garter St using US Size 10½ needles for scarf.
