Knitted Measurements
Circumference: 14"(16", 18")

 

Materials
1 x 50 g ball Cuddle Me; Color: Parrot Green (or color of your choice)
1 x 50 g skein Lantern; Color: SP1 - Jasmine (or color of your choice)
Size 10 1/2 knitting needles

 

*These yarns have been discontinued but may be substituted with yarns of similar gauge.

 

Gauge: 11 st = 4 inches in 2 x 2 rib

 

To knit hat:
For 14" and 18" circumference
Cast on 40(52) stitches with both yarns held together.

 

Pattern Stitch:
R1: K1, *(K2, P2), repeat * till last stitch, K1
R2: K1, *(P2, K2), repeat * till last stitch, K1

 

Continue in Pattern Stitch till piece measures 6"(7.5") from the beginning.
Bind off loosely.

 

For 16" circumference
Cast on 46 stitches with both yarns held together.

 

Pattern Stitch:
R1: K1, *(K2, P2), repeat * till last stitch, K1
R2: K1, *(K2, P2), repeat * till last stitch, K1

 

Continue in Pattern Stitch till piece measures 6.75" from the beginning.
Bind off loosely.

 

For all sizes:
Now that you have completed knitting the piece, join the two sides.
Then at the bound-off edge, divide the stitches evenly so they form 3 corners.
Whip stitch the seams together. Add tassels to the 3 corners if preferred.
The hat may be worn with the brim rolled up or otherwise.
