Knitted Measurements
Circumference: 18" unstretched

Materials
1 x Captain; Color 4 (or color of your choice)
US Size 7 (4.5 mm) circular and double-point knitting needles

Gauge
Approx 19.5 st = 4" in 2x2 Ribbed Stitch

To knit hat:
Cast on 88 stitches, place maker, join to form round, making sure not to twist stitches.
Work (K2,P2) around till piece measures 9" from beginning.

Decrease (switch to double-point needles when necessary):
R1: *(K2, P2, K2, P2tog), rep * till end.
R2: *(K2, P2, K2, P1), rep * till end.
R3: *(K2, P2, K1, K2tog), rep * till end.
R4: *(K2, P2, K2tog), rep * till end.
R5: *(K2, P1, P2tog), rep * till end.
R6: *(K2, P2tog)), rep * till end.
R7: *(K2, K2tog), rep * till end.

Cut yarn, leaving a tail of about 12".

Weave through remaining stitches, removing stitches from knitting needle. Draw up tightly and bind off. Weave in all loose ends.
