The scarves and shawls made using the Diamond Mesh Stitch look more complicated than they really are! In this scarf pattern, Berlini East Track II is used to make a beautiful, sparkly mesh scarf.

 

Finished Measurements: Approx 50" x 4" (excluding fringe)

 

Materials:
East Track II (color of your choice)
Crochet hook, US Size M13 (9 mm)

 

To make scarf:

 

Ch 18;

 

Basic Pattern Stitch (Multiple of 4 sts + 2)

 

R1: Skip 1 ch, 1 sc in next ch, *(Ch 3, sk 3 ch, 1 sc in next ch), rep * till end; Ch 3, turn;
R2: *(1 sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3), rep *, end with sc in top of sc of previous row; Ch 3, turn;

 

R3: *(1 sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3), rep *, end with 1 sc in last ch-3 space; Ch 3, turn;

 

Rep R3 till approx 50". (Note: On final row, end with 1 sc in last ch-3 space.)

 

Weave in all loose ends.

 

Fringe (Optional):
Cut multiple strands approx 12" long. Attach to each end of the scarf to make fringe.
