Knitted Measurements
Will stretch to fit head circumference of 20"-24"

Materials
Berlini Merino Butter Sport Color 9 and Berlini Bailey Trail Sock Yarn Color 508 (hat shown in blue; or select your own color combinations),
OR
Berlini Merino Velvet Worsted (hat shown in beige; or color of your choice).
16-inch circular knitting needles - US Size 10 (6 mm).

To knit hat:
Cast on 88 stitches, place marker to mark beginning of round, join to form circle, being careful not to twist stitches.

(K2, P2) until hat measures 9.5 inches.

Decrease:

Rd 1: *(K2, P2tog), rep * till end of round - 66 sts remain.
Rd 2-3: *(K2, P1), rep * till end of round.
Rd 4: *(K1, K2tog), rep * till end of round - 44 sts remain.
Rd 5-7: Knit around.
Rd 8: *(K2tog), rep * till end of round - 22 sts remain.
Rd 9: Knit around.
Rd 10: *(K2tog), rep * till end of round - 11sts remain.

Finishing:
Cut yarn, leaving a tail of about 12". Weave through remaining stitches, draw up tightly and bind off.
Weave in loose ends.
