Merino Butter Sport is a super luxury merino wool yarn spun from the finest quality superfine Australian merino wool. Spun from rare 17.5 microns superfine merino wool and a small quantity of top quality nylon for added strength, Merino Butter Sport is truly a special yarn that is extremely comfortable, gentle on the skin and nicely rounded for gorgeous stitch definition. Only a very small quantity of this superfine merino wool is produced each year, and an even smaller quantity is available as hand-knitting yarn (most superfine merino wool yarn are used commercially for the production of high end knits).

Merino Butter Sport merino wool yarn is soft and smooth as butter (hence its name!) and can be worn next to the skin. It is non-itchy, highly breathable and an excellent regulator of body temperature, providing the wearer with superb comfort in both hot and cold weather. Merino Butter Sport merino wool yarn is superwash treated and machine washable, hence making it suitable for everyday use. Its softness and ease of care makes it suitable for children and babies.

Available in a range of contemporary colors, Merino Butter Sport merino wool yarn is an excellent choice for luxurious sweaters, cardigans, scarves, shawls, hats, mittens, undergarments, and baby items. It also makes exceptionally wonderful and squishy soft socks!
