Merino Luxe is a truly luxurious yarn with softness that defies the senses. It is the top of the line wool yarn made from the finest quality superfine Tasmanian merino wool and is used for fine, top grade projects. At 18 microns, Merino Luxe is softer and stronger than cashmere, and smooth as the finest silk. Only a small quantity of this superfine merino wool is produced each year with an even smaller quantity available as hand-knitting yarn.

Merino Luxe is so soft it can be worn next to the skin. It is non-itchy, highly breathable and an excellent regulator of body temperature, providing the wearer with superb comfort in both hot and cold weather. Merino Luxe has superb stitch definition, a buttery soft hand and excellent drape. Available in a wide range of sensational colors, it is an excellent choice for sweaters, cardigans, scarves, shawls, hats, mittens, undergarments, baby items and much more. It is also feltable and may be used for felted projects.
